It’s that time of the year when the seasons are changing and spring is on the horizon. All the heavy food you may tend to eat throughout the winter might have you feeling sluggish, tired and looking for some replenished vitality. These symptoms of winter eating habits are normal which is why now’s a great time to think about starting a juice cleanse. If you’ve never done a juice cleanse before, there’s some pointers you should know before getting started (like what to avoid eating a few days beforehand). We’ll cover the process and benefits of juicing for Monday’s blog, but for now let’s focus on where around town you can pick up some healthy, fresh juices over the weekend. I’ve laid out the places I’ve tried and tested their juice cleanses, and I’ve also offered suggestions on other juice locations that I’ve yet to try.

Sigh. Luna's, oh heavenly Luna's. You were my first juice cleanse and even when I try others, I still always reflect back to the taste of your juice perfection. I've done 3 days of The Signature Cleanse a few times over the past several years. Every time I've had a truly enjoyable experience and typically finish the 3 days believing I could add another day or two longer to the juice cleanse process. I find myself contently satisfied between juices, yet looking forward to the flavor palette of the next scheduled juice. With a time gap of 2 hours in between juices, this cleanse knows how to keep you energized and motivated. It's a higher price point than others, but if you're willing to spend the money, hands down this one's my favorite around town! I only wish I could afford to do Luna's juice cleanse more often.

If anyone has done Viva Raw's juice cleanse, please feel free to share your thoughts. I'd love to hear your opinion.

I love how Freshii is fast and healthy and I would probably eat here everyday if it wasn't such a long walk from work (open a location near Gateway Village please!!) in Uptown Charlotte. I tried their 3 day juice cleanse once; it was the first time I did a cleanse with the incorporation of a meal. I appreciated having the salad at the end of the day as I found myself craving dinner. For the cleanse's price point, this is by far the most economical juice cleanse in town. Freshii is an awesome company. Did you know they have such a strong philanthropic side to their business? Purchase any We Feed menu item and Freshii donates a meal to a child in need. Makes me love Freshii even more!

Juice Box NoDa

Whole Foods Market

The Fairview Green is delicious. It's a blend of strawberries, kale, spinach and apple juice. The color is more on the side of brown, but it's a tad sweet and healthy. I had it yesterday as a late lunch replacement prior to a meeting (since I was running around town) and it kept me full until dinner.
